has nothing to do with hating or where i go to school, im a basketball fan before i am a VT fan, and what Hansbrough does just isn't basketball</div></div>
Co-sign. He'll never amount to anything in the NBA either--he's a glorified Andrew DeClercq, nothing more nothing less.

Re: 2007-08 Basketball
I got to see the second night, and it was a couple of pretty good games.
Other than Arby's, we really don't have a lot of good basketball tournaments around here.

It was TS/Burton (not Lebanon as I thought before) and GC/Lee on the first night then TS/Lee and GC/DB on the last. I seem to remember seeing it on Lee's, it was Gate City (at Twin Springs) and Twin Springs (at Gate City)..listed something like that I think if I'm not mistaken. Would like to see something like that again though. </div></div>

Anyone one of you all would love to have him on your team. And considering who you all like......you could use him

Honestly, if there was a kid playing for Duke like Hansbrough does for UNC, I'd take the wins but still despise how he actually plays the game. There's no "skill" to his game.

Re: 2007-08 Basketball
As long as we win, he can do and play however he wants.

What position do you play?

Re: 2007-08 Basketball
of course i'd take him on VT...he's productive, there's no questioning that, i just don't like his style of play
fwiw, i didn't like the way Terry Taylor played when he was at VT

And that's where you and I are different. If he did things to help Duke win I'd still hate his game, or lack thereof. He's getting more no-calls down low than any post player in Duke history, I can assure you that as well. His lone post move is duck a shoulder into the defender's chest and hope they get knocked down so I can have an open layup that I may or may not make.
I'll predict it right now--UNC does not win the national title this year. I'm not solid on who will yet, but I'm almost sure that UNC won't.

Re: 2007-08 Basketball
I actually hope UNC does win it, they are the ACC's best shot at the title, but I like a number of teams Kansas, Louisville, Kansas State, Georgetown (though to a lesser extent after this weekend)
depending on how Mayo develops, USC could have an outside shot with Jefferson finally on campus to go with what they have coming back
in the SEC, i think UT will have a big season, but don't think a title shot is in the cards...UF will be solid, but rebuilding, same for UK...LSU has taken a step back from their run to the final four and haven't used that momentum well on the recruiting trail
I think top to bottom the 3 best conferences this year are the ACC, Big 12 and Pac 10...the Big East with both Louisville and Georgetown near the top would come in 4th
